Rhino Plug
Single-Pole High-Current Connector
Fast Connection for Temporary Power Distribution
Rhino plug single-pole connectors are designed for temporary and repeat-use power systems, where cables need to be connected, removed and reconfigured faster than permanent hardwiring.
Faster Than Hardwiring
Helps reduce wiring time during temporary setup, maintenance and field power connection.
Spring-Assisted Twist-Lock
Insert and rotate to lock. The safety latch prevents unintended reverse rotation, while the internal spring helps make disconnection easier after unlocking.
Quick System Reconfiguration
Helps technicians move and reconnect power lines more efficiently during temporary system changes after power is isolated.
Easier Field Maintenance
Makes cable inspection, replacement and maintenance easier than fixed hardwired connections.
Important Operation Note
This connector is intended for connection and disconnection without load. Please disconnect power before plugging or unplugging.

Frequently Asked Questions About Rhino Plug
Common questions about the 400A Rhino plug set, spring-assisted twist-lock structure, certification, cable connection and project matching.
What is a Rhino plug used for?
A Rhino plug is a single-pole high-current connector used in temporary power systems, such as generator connection, temporary distribution boxes, stage power and industrial field power.
Is this product a complete set or a single connector?
This product page focuses on a 400A five-color set. One complete set includes single-pole connectors for L1, L2, L3, N and PE.
What current rating is available?
The current product on this page is the 400A Rhino plug set. If you need other current ratings, please confirm with us before ordering.
Which colors correspond to L1, L2, L3, N and PE?
The five-color set uses L1 brown, L2 black, L3 grey, N blue and PE green. This helps installers identify phase, neutral and earth lines more clearly.
How does the spring-assisted twist-lock mechanism work?
The Rhino plug connector pair uses a spring-assisted twist-lock structure with a black safety latch. During connection, the plug is inserted into the socket, the internal spring is compressed, and the connector is rotated into the locked position. The black safety latch helps prevent unintended reverse rotation during use. To disconnect, release the latch first, rotate the connector back to the unlocked position, and then pull it out. The compressed spring provides outward force, helping make removal easier than conventional high-current plug and socket connections.
What cable size does it support?
The tested 400A set supports 120mm² cable connection. Please also confirm your cable outer diameter before quotation.
Is the Rhino plug suitable for outdoor use?
The 400A Rhino plug set is rated IP67. For outdoor projects, please confirm the installation method, cable gland condition and operating environment before use.
Can it be connected or disconnected under load?
